The Cerberus series acts as the ‘primary’ model of the three variants. That is to say, of the three models, the Cerberus has the lowest average production and maintenance costs, resulting in a higher fielding ratio of it as opposed to the other models. The Cerberus makes up a majority portion of the fielded Lohengrin models as used by the Expeditionary Forces, thanks to its medium armored chassis, increased compliment of weapons, versatility, and relatively easy to restock weapon stores.
The Cerberus is armed with a 90mm Gauss Rifle that allows it to deal with most combat situations fairly easily, while the optional Chemical Laser Rifle gives it a significantly more powerful attack power at the cost of effective weapons range. Because of this lack of extra range from the secondary rifle, the Cerberus also supports a hip mounted Titanium Axe, though these two weapons are not standard equipment. The Cerberus can also be specially equipped with a Stormbolt Artillery Cannon. However it is generally reserved for special operations purposes, as it greatly increases the mecha's profile, leaving it an open target in most combat situations.
Black Sphere Drive (Type Alpha)

While not a weapon system, the Black Sphere Drive is a vital piece of equipment that was developed for use in the second and third generation Lohengrin Mecha. While the main purpose of the Black Sphere Drive was to provide thrust for larger air born craft, the smaller Alpha Type Drive module was adapted to allow small vehicles and mecha an energy efficient flight system.
The Black Sphere Drive is made up of two vitally important components – a central core, and an outer shell like layer. The central core is externally controlled to make subtle and minute movements that are then channeled through the outer core – these movements are converted to kinetic energy, which is then magnified several thousand times and causes the outer shell to move. Any craft (mecha suit, vehicle or battle ship) which uses a Black Sphere Drive has its frame lined with the same material as the Drive’s outer shell, and then directly connected to the Drive system itself – thus the kinetic energy that channels through the outer shell transfers into the frame of the craft itself. When applied as a means of flight, the Black Sphere Drive generates enough kinetic force that it is able to counter-act the forces of Earth’s gravity, generating lift.

The 90mm Gauss Rifle fires 90mm Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail Armor Piercing rounds made from a copper coat and tungsten carbide core. The rifle uses a magnetic coil system to fire the 90mm rounds at extremely high velocities, increasing the maximum distance of the rifle as well as increasing its armor piercing capacity. The 90mm gauss rifle can fire in a standard three round burst, or in single round setting – making an excellent sniper rifle.
Chemical Laser Rifle

The Chemical laser rifle uses a deuterium-fluoride reaction in which fluorine atoms are accelerated through supersonic nozzles into a laser cavity where it is mixed with Deuterium in a low-temperature low-pressure environment, forming an excited Deuterium-fluoride molecule. The stimulated photons as a result from this reaction are then used to create a laser beam which is capable of generating approximate 2.5 MW of energy in output power. When applied as a weapon, the Chemical Laser is able to do a devastating amount of damage to most objects.

The Titanium axe is a hand held weapon measuring in at a length of 2.5 meters. Its handle grip and blade are made from different types of Titanium Composite allows in order to allow the maximum cutting potential, while at the same time providing an optimum weapon strength. The blade itself is made from an alloy composite to give maximum strength and durability, while the edges have been heat treated and hardened to give a stronger cutting edge. The handle is made from a slightly softer composite, allowing the force and shock from impact to transfer through the blade to the handle, distributing impact along the full length of the weapon to minimize breaking potential.
Stormbolt Artillery Cannon

A very large and very powerful artillery cannon, the Stormbolt Artillery Cannon fires 155mm explosive howitzer rounds. Howitzer rounds generally have a higher-than average splinter effect than most artillery rounds, making them a superior long-range artillery ammunition.
